We are prealpha, an independent game studio based in Germany. We created the global phenomenon Make it Meme - the first multiplayer online game to transform meme creation into a social gaming experience. Starting as a casual side project, Make it Meme has become a worldwide browser hit with millions enjoying it every month.
As the leading online meme game, we take pride in nurturing our expanding community. Through continuous updates and new features, we work to further enhance the experience for players and cement Make it Meme's status as our flagship title. At Prealpha, our focus remains on fostering creativity, humor and connection between users on a global scale.
We recently acquired Pixoguess, a fast-paced online browser game where players compete to guess pixelated images as quickly as possible. The game originally started as Faceguessr.io, a prototype built around the idea of recognizing famous people the fastest. After gaining traction with players and small streamers, the concept expanded beyond faces to anything you could possibly guess.
That’s how Pixoguess in its current form was born: a fun, casual way to put your pop culture knowledge to the test. Today, thanks to community-created categories, players can compete in guessing people, brands, games, movies, memes, everyday objects, and internet culture in general.
